Cloud Break Pinot Noir 2014 – Average and non-descript Pinot Noir

CloudBreak Pinot Noir Rating

Price: $8.99 at Total Wine

Style: The “Anna” (Medium body with fairly simple and straight-forward fruit flavors.)

Rating: “Ok”

Recommendation: “Have a glass or two”

Review:

I’m giving this one a “meh”. A totally average and non-descript value Pinot Noir with a pleasant structure but muted generic flavors. The little aroma and flavor that I was able to pull out was mostly earthy, with little fruit evident. On the palate, it was pretty soft and flabby on the entry, but improved with good structure on the mid-palate and finish. Ok everyday drinker, but I wouldn’t specifically seek it out. http://www.vincrush.com

Not much to be learned from their website.

Finally figured out that it’s owned by O’Neill Vintners and Distillers.  Their website pretty clearly states that they’re a large provider of bulk wines… so there you go.
